About PayFeeCalc

PayFeeCalc is an independent fee-estimation website built to make PayPal transaction costs easier to understand. It helps freelancers, online sellers, and businesses estimate a fee, see an expected net amount, or work backward from a target payout to calculate an amount to request.

PayFeeCalc is not PayPal and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by PayPal. PayPal is a third-party trademark used only to identify the payment service whose publicly available fees are being estimated.

What the calculator covers

The current calculator focuses on supported US and UK commercial-payment scenarios. Available markets, payment types, sender categories, currencies, percentage rates, fixed fees, and international additions are shown directly in the calculator.

Two calculation modes are available:

  • Fee from a payment estimates the fee and net amount from a gross payment.
  • Amount to request estimates the minimum gross amount needed to reach a target net amount after the selected fee.

Each result displays the rate components used in the estimate. Where available, the calculator also provides the official source and the date on which the rate was last reviewed.

How rates are reviewed

We review the public merchant-fee information published by PayPal for the markets supported by the calculator and maintain a versioned rate snapshot for the tool. A displayed verification date tells you when that snapshot was last checked.

PayPal pricing can vary by account, product, payment type, currency conversion, negotiated terms, promotions, charity or micropayment eligibility, and later policy changes. The calculator therefore provides an estimate, not a quote or guarantee. Confirm the final charge in your PayPal account or the relevant official PayPal fee page before making a financial decision.

For the complete calculation method, read how PayFeeCalc works.

PayFeeCalc Editorial Team

The PayFeeCalc Editorial Team maintains independent payment-fee calculators and guides for sellers, freelancers, and online businesses.

For each supported payment route, we compare calculator data with official provider fee and policy pages, record the source and effective date, test forward and reverse calculations at common and edge-case amounts, and review material updates before publishing them.

When we identify a material error, we correct the calculator or guide, update its verification information, and recheck the affected examples. PayFeeCalc is independent and is not affiliated with PayPal.

Privacy by design

Calculator amounts are processed in your browser. The calculator does not send the amount you enter to WordPress, store it in its database, place it in a cookie or browser storage, or add it to the page URL.

Like most websites, the site infrastructure still receives ordinary technical request information needed to deliver and protect the website. If you send a message through the Contact page, the details you submit are processed so we can respond. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use and Cookie Policy for details.

Corrections and feedback

Fee schedules change, and a public source can sometimes be interpreted differently. If you find a rate, calculation, wording, or accessibility issue, please use the Contact PayFeeCalc page. Include the selected market, payment type, currency, and the official source you believe should be reviewed. Do not send PayPal passwords, payment-card details, or sensitive account information.
